Former chairman of Hearts of Oak Harry Zakkour insists newly appointed coach of the side Kenichi Yatsuhashi will fail as he is only competent to be an engineer for automobile giants Toyota.

The Japanese trainer has signed a two-year contract to be the substantive head coach of the Phobians.

Yatsuhashi’s appointment has stirred intense controversy within the Accra-based club with many doubting his competence.

The Japanese however remains adamant he is unfazed by the might skepticism he is faced with at the club and is determined to prove the doubters wrong.

Harry Zakkour who preside over the club’s most glorious period between the late 90’s and early 2000’s is the latest to cast doubts over the competence of Kenichi Yatsuhashi, mocking him as only fit to be a ‘Toyota engineer’.

“What is this coach coming to do?” Zakkour quizzed.

“Is he an engineer or what? He cannot coach Hearts of Oak.

“Hearts of Oak is not a small team for such a coach to come and say he will coach Hearts.

“A coach from Japan? He can’t coach Hearts of Oak. He is a Toyota engineer.”

Kenichi Yatsuhashi will be formally introduced to his players on Thursday as he begins work with his new club.
