Ghana youth international Yaw Yeboah is delighted at his latest nomination for the 2015 African Youth player of the year.

The 18-year-old was shortlisted to compete for the prestigious accolade after excelling at the 2015 Africa Youth Championships and FIFA World Cup in Senegal and New Zealand respectively.

The former Right to Dream Academy midfielder was adjudged the best player at the end of the African youth championships and also helped the Black Satellites to reach the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup.

Yeboah who is currently on loan at French Ligue 1 side Lille is excited to be selected for the award.

“It is great, I did well in same way and I think is a great moment for me,” he told Accra-based Starr FM.

“It is going to help me in the future.”

The Ghana U20 midfielder faces stiff competition from Nigerian duo Kelechi Nwakali and Victor Osimhen as well as Adama Traore and Samuel Diarra also from Mali.
