V-C Visits research station

Accra, OCT. 24, GNA - The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Kwadwo Asenso-Okyere, On Friday paid a day's working visit to one of the University's Agricultural Research Stations at Kade in the Eastern Region.

Addressing a cross-section of staff to round off the visit, Prof. Asenso-Okyere assured them that the University has not neglected them and that he was doing everything within its means to make life comfortable for them at the research stations. He tasked them to work hard to increase output to make the station self-sustaining.

Enthused by the level of achievement at the Kade Research Station, the Vice-Chancellor stressed the importance of commercialisation of produce. He suggested the attachment of Socio-Economists to the research stations to provide expertise on how best to market research.

Prof. Asenso-Okyere advised the management of the Research Station to receive patronage from the wider Public.
