Medeama coach Tom Strand is expected to return to the bench for his side's Premier League game against Bechem United on Sunday following the storm that characterized his long-term future at the club this week.

Strand has recovered from a bout of malaria and should be fit to lead his team onto the pitch ahead of the must-win game against United at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park.

The 33-year-old was forced to deny GHANAsoccernet.com expose' which revealed he held 'secret talks' with Asante Kotoko.

Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com reported the Swedish trainer was angling for a move away from Tarkwa over claims of interference.

But the young European has reaffirmed his commitment to the club after the reports exposed Kotoko's clandestine move to lure him away.

He is expected to return to the dugout ahead of his side's must-win game against Bechem United at home.

Medeama have been far from convincing on the domestic front, winning just a single game after five matches so far.

They lie just above the relegation zone and will be desperate to bag maximum points against the fellow strugglers.

A win will serve as real boost ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup round of 16 first leg tie against Sudanese side Al Ahly Shendi on Sunday April 10.
