Tigo, a telecommunication company, has given away the second monthly prize of a 20KVA power generator in its “Yensor Nkoaa” promotion.

The winner, Madam Janet Amoah, expressed delight about the prize during a short presentation ceremony, in Accra.

“I am overwhelmed because I least expected this,” she said.

The daily winners, including Alexander Samuel, Rejoice Fiagbe and Priscilla Ennin also received 3KVA power generators, power banks and rechargeable lamps.

Tigo Yensor Nkoaa promotion was developed to help Tigo customers cope with the current power supply challenges.

Since its launch on May 14, Tigo has given away a total of 1,210 alternative sources of power, including daily and monthly prizes of 10KVA power plant, 3KVA power generators, power inverters, rechargeable lamps and power banks to customers across the country.

At the end of the 90-day promotion in August, Tigo would have given a total of 93 power generators, 1,260 rechargeable lamps, 450 power banks and 12 power inverters.

The Head of Marketing for Tigo, Jesse Agyepong, said Tigo is delighted that the promotion has stirred excitement in the telecom industry and put smiles on the faces of customers.

“All we are asking customers to do is to use their pre-paid Tigo line to make calls, send text messages, browse the internet or top up their airtime in order to reach their targets,” she said.

“Each of these activities will be converted into points, which will contribute towards their targets.”

Tigo pre-paid customers can check their targets/points by dialing *456#.

Mr Agyepong said the promotion would end on August 11, and urged customers to continue to do more by calling, browsing the internet among others to increase their chances of winning a prize.
