Center referee Isaka Ayensu Afful, assistant referees Fallahu Rahman Salifu, Kwesi Acheampong Brobbey have been invited for a two-week course in Nyon, Switzerland from 09-20 May.

The trio will be representing Africa in an introductory course at UEFA’s centre of refereeing excellence.

Last year the three young referees participated in a CAF organized course in Tanzania and excelled to deserve this invite in Europe and center referee Afful believes their performance in Ghana will see them go far.

“Is a great pleasure for me to represent Africa in this course with two of my colleagues. We are doing great for the continent but we are not respected back home.

"However, the likes of Joseph Lamptey are flying the Ghana flag high and we the young ones also have something to offer in the future”, Afful told Starr Sports.

UEFA will cover all the expenses of the match officials for the full duration of the course including accommodation, meals and local transport, as well as accident and health insurance.
