"The Saint" calls for private sector investment in health

Sir Roger Moore, better known from his film roles as 'The Saint and 007', on Thursday called on the private sector to assist the government in ensuring quality healthcare delivery. In a courtesy call on Minister of Health Professor Kwaku Danso-Boafo in Accra, Sir Moore, who is UNICEF's ambassador of good will, said the government cannot shoulder all the burden alone. Thus, the private sector should give the government a helping hand.

Sir Moore, who is on a five-day visit to Ghana, is acquainting himself with UNICEF's activities in the country and is participating in the launch of this year's National Immunisation Days. After meeting with some of the private sector, he said he saw a spirit of willingness to participate.
