The British - Something to learn from Ghana after all these centuries

All civilizations learn from each other and it is time for Ghana to show Britain some small tricks of living!
Prime Minister DAVID CAMERON- reported in the news as buying a used Nissan Micra for his wife!! Is that true?
This man is being ridiculous indeed! Buying a cheap used $3,000 British car for his wife? No way!
How about Bentley or Roll Royce or some of those German BMWs or Mercedes? Does he want Germans to starve or what?

If there is one thing we Africans can show the white man where real power lies, it is in celebrations, pageantry and showmanship!
Former President Kufuor said we were bankrupt but he did not spare $150 million to show that Ghana was 50 years old!
After he got $3.6 billion of interest on loans written off it was time to celebrate and he ordered gold chains worth some $3.6 million and hang the 18 karat one around his neck for a good job rating himself as President! His critics can go suck on some ice cubes (as they say in America).
Kufuor also cut himself a check for his retirement: 2 luxury houses, 6 vehicles befitting the President, 2 vacation package with 2 servants, and $1-3 million to establish a library! In the whole city of Accra and nation of Ghana, no place can boast of a library that good, if any at all exist now!

Former President Jerry Rawlings was known to chew corn standing on jeeps but it was not long after he left office than the man ordered and had delivered 5 Toyota Landcruiser SUVs. To hell with the poverty and buying yoko gari meals on credit!

President Atta Mills did not have much of a chance to order his private helicopter before he passed, and had to be driven to the hospital in two hour Accra traffic. He died too early to enjoy!

Kwame Nkrumah built his pet zoo and Peduase Lodge, but for him all luxury was not personal but for the state! Why he did not set up others to secede him is another matter.
What President John Mahama is planning nobody knows; but hope he does not send his gold to Dubai as rumored. Remember the ancient ruler of old Ghana Empire, Mansa Musa who history tells us travelled to the Middle East on camels loaded with gold! He returned home borrowing money!

POINT is that the black man in office could care less about open sewage and water with necessary reservoir. The perennial rainfall and flooding can be given to God! Electricity is also the work of evil and good dwarfs; nothing one can do about those!
Ghana has a lot of modernity to learn from the others; but we have development partners to plan and think those for us!
However, to treat the Kings wife with gold and diamonds and the best luxury vehicles on earth? That is the work of man! The duty of the Head of State, the President or Prime Minister.
