The inability of a BNI official who is serving as a witness in the ongoing trial involving interdicted Police officer, DSP Gifty Tehoda, to appear in court Friday morning compelled the judge to adjourn the case again.

According to Starr News’ court correspondent, Wilberforce Asare, the unnamed official was the lead investigator in the initial Police Central Disciplinary Board trial of the aggrieved officer..

It is unclear why the BNI-witness was unable to turn up today but sources say he might have been impressed upon not to appear before the court.

The court has adjourned the case to April 13 2015, to enable the Presiding judge embark on his annual leave, which is due.

The case against Tehoda began on September 27, 2011 when one Nana Ama Martin’s was arrested for possessing large parcels suspected to be cocaine which later turned into bicarbonate or baking soda.

She was linked to the deal for which reason she was interdicted and subsequently dismissed from the Ghana Police Service as Deputy Commander in charge of the Commercial Crimes Unit of the Ghana Police Service.
