Teachers group, who call themselves “Victims of Three Months Salary Arrears” are gearing up to invoke curses on government officials at the Finance Ministry if it fails to pay them their full salaries on Monday July 4, 2016.

The teachers say they have been working for several years but the government paid only three months out of the number of years they have worked.

The teachers numbering about 60,000 across the country will therefore converged at the Obra Sports at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle at 6am and march through some principal street of Accra to the Finance Ministry where they are expected to invoke these curses on the government.

Speaking to Onua News, the Spokesperson for the group, Emmanuel Osei Tutu, explained that the government is taking them for granted but they have worked for the past three years only for them to be paid three months salaries.

He explained that they are being ejected from their homes for their failure to pay for their rents while others have gone for loans for their survival.
