Stop the blame game and work - Apostle Amoani

Apostle Dr Stephen Kwame Amoani, Chairman of Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), has admonished Ghanaians to stop the blame game and work hard to redeem the nation from its current difficulties.

“I make this clarion call to all Ghanaians to exhibit humility before God and stop the blame games and insults on Ministers of the gospel and our national leaders, “he stressed.

Apostle Amoani was addressing the one week 2014 Apostolic Conference of the church which was on the theme: “Be an Agent of Transformation.”

The conference was attended by members from the southern sector of the country comprising Greater Accra, Eastern, Central, Volta and Western Region as well as a delegation from Togo and La Cote d’Ivoire.

Speaking on the sub-theme: “Eager expectation of God’s Agent of Change,” Apostle Amoani asked Ghanaians not to despair in their times of difficulty.

“May we as a nation turn to God and cry to him, for the scriptures encourage us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

“If we turn from our wicked ways and seek the face of God for deliverance, and work hard with our God giving talents, we are bound to make it.

“As professional and intellectuals whether as nurses, doctors, engineers or in whatever field, if we use our skills to the best of our ability, the development of the nation would not be far from sight.”

The CACI Chairman entreated all and sundry to exhibit good hygienic practices in their homes and communities and to have knowledge of the symptoms of cholera and Ebola diseases.

He said: “In this era of cholera outbreak and Ebola, you should seek advice and report to the appropriate health facilities as early as possible when the need arises. “

“I also make a passionate appeal to all pastors in the land to rise and pray against the root cause of this demonic decease-Ebola and ask the hand of God to intervene in our Nation.”

Apostle Amoani asked the Ministers of the gospel to use their pulpits to teach and encourage their congregation to become agents of transformation and reduce the alarming levels of moral decadence in the society.

He said transformation agents are those who would ultimately lead their families, church, nation through initiatives and exhibit Godly characteristics to cause positive change and are therefore not only committed to their own development, but also by demonstrating an exceptional "do or die" commitment to impact positively on others.

In the light of this, as Christian leaders: “God expects us to exhibit godly character and eschew all forms of corrupt practices to make Ghana a beacon of Africa.”

“I therefore take this opportunity to appeal to Christian leaders of the land not to conform to the evil dictates of this world, but rather exhibit loyalty, integrity and faithfulness in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities.

“As Christian leaders I encourage you not to think about yourselves alone but have the nation and your respective organisations at heart, so that our lifestyles will affect other colleagues who are engaged in immoral and fraudulent practices,” he added.

Mr Atta Akyea, Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South said transformation could only take place with increase in knowledge and asked men of God to upgrade their capacities as they are the reservoirs of their congregation.

Rev Michael Nimo, former Chairman of the CACI led the congregation to pray for the nation, the leaders and the Church.
