St. Peter’s SHS, Nkwatia and Nkwatia Presby SHS have exhibited their supremacy over other schools in the Afram Plains contest under the Kwahu zone of the ongoing national energy quiz to qualify to the quarterfinals.

The two have thus joined Nkawkaw SHS and Bepong SHS as qualified schools from the Kwahu zone.

For these two, it was a well thought through and perfectly executed victories after the two contests on Monday from two respective contests.
In the first contest of the day, St. Peter’s SHS made mincemeat of St. Dominic’s SHS, St. Paul’s SHTS and Kwahu-Tafo SHS to win with 26 points. Their contenders, St. Dominic’s SHS, St. Paul’s SHTS and Kwahu-Tafo scored paltry scores of 7, 2 and 7 points respectively.

The three schools have thus been eliminated from the contest.

In the second contest, Nkwatia Presby SHS put up a not too impressive performance but managed to win the contest to grab the second ticket on the day to join St. Peter’s SHS in their onward march into the next stage of the competition.

With 15 points at the end of the contest, Nkwatia Presby SHS managed a win over Maame Krobo SHS and Mpraeso SHS who garnered 7 and 8 points respectively to book a place in the quarterfinals of the coveted National Energy Quiz.

The two schools have, therefore, begun a steady climb to glory to achieve the ultimate aim of annexing the trophy in the grand finale.

At the start of the contests, all the competing schools looked poised to show their supremacy over their peers as they took the first round slowly with the victors taking a leap ahead of their other competitors.

St. Peter’s SHS, Nkwatia and Nkwatia Presby SHS dominated their neighbours and wrestled the first place from them. They were, nevertheless, matched by their contenders.

Along the line however, it was total disaster for the other schools who had come into the contest with full confidence of causing an upset but it was the two who held the upper hand in points.

St. Peter’s SHS, Nkwatia and Nkwatia Presby SHS rose to occasion and delivered a stunning mastery of the questions to end the contest in their favour.
