South Tongu MP donates building materials to support community projects

The Member of Parliament for the South Tongu Constituency, Hon Kwabla Mensah Woyome, has donated 250 bags of cement and 2 bundles of iron sheets to support the building of some facilities in selected institutions in his constituency.

The donation according to the MP formed part of his commitment to ensuring that his constituents benefit from the MP's Common Fund.

The donation include 30 bags of cement to the Global Evangelical Church (Glory Congregation), in aid of a church building project, 20 bags for the Tefle-Kodzi Youth Association to facilitate the building of a public latrine project, 50 bags for the Dabala Sanity School, 20 bags for Dalive Monnonite Church, 100 bags for the St. Catherine Senior High School at Agbakope towards the construction of a fence around the school and a number of street lights.

Tsiveto D/A Primary school, also received 30 bags of cement, 2 bundles of iron sheet towards the building of a classroom project, 1 meter ball and a set of football jerseys.

Presenting the items to the beneficiary institutions, the MP noted that "even though the NDC is out of power, I would ensure that the district continue to make gains from the sharing of the national cake".

Reacting to issues regarding water challenges in the area, the informed the people that he is working with the Ministry of Water and Resources to find a lasting solution to the problem.

He charged the beneficiary institutions to make good use of the items and expect more from him.

On behalf of the institutions, Rev. Adzamli, the District Pastor of the Global Evangelical Church thanked the MP for the gesture and assured that the items would be used for purpose.
