South Africa Business Chamber to organise Breakfast Series

The Ghana South Africa Business Chamber (GSABC), as part of its programme for the year, will on Thursday 18 February 2016 organise its first power Breakfast series for the year in Accra.

The theme for the programme is ‘Business Outlook Ghana 2016’, and will have Minister of Trade and Industry Mr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah as Guest Speaker.

He is going to provide members with vital information on what the business community should expect this year, policy initiatives by the current administration as well as planned and emerging opportunities.

Mr. Ashley Rix, President of the Chamber said: “As a non-for-profit organisation, our primary objective is to facilitate the building and nurturing of mutually beneficial relationships between Ghana and South African Businesses”.

He said the Chamber serves as a networking platform and provides a common forum to discuss and share best practice information and business intelligence.

“With members’ participation, the depth of knowledge is also leveraged while offering another communication channel to broadcast message and brand attributes,” Mr. Rix explained.

He said the chamber “has a strong relationship with South Africa Trade and Investment Associations and the South Africa High Commission for the benefit of our membership base”.

These partnerships allow for access to relevant South Africa and Ghana government departments and initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Guest Speaker for the programme will be the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, Luluma Xingwana.

The GSABC was set up to promote and enhance business interests of members in South Africa and Ghana, and to develop trade and investment between the two countries.
