Residents of the First Infantry Battalion (1BN) at Michel Camp have heaped praises on the John Mahama administration over a seven-kilometer asphalt road network in the community.

The barracks which have not seen any major rehabilitation for decades have developed potholes on their roads making it unmotorable.

Some of the soldiers who spoke to Starrfmonline.com expressed joy at the development. According to the soldiers, accommodation in the barracks also need serious facelift.

They mentioned street lights and equipping the medical reception station (1MRS) as a major concern for them.

They were, however, grateful to the commander-in-chief President John Mahama for the road construction, being undertaken by Moripoma Construction Ltd, at 1BN.

They also appealed to the government to support the 48 Engineers as well as the Garrison Engineers to enable them carry out repair works at the various garrisons to make them more relevant in the Armed Forces.
