Sikkens' Education Trust

Sikkens Education Trust, a newly established Education Trust to provide financial support for gifted but needy student of the Kwahu North and South Districts has been set up. It is under the personal intiative of Mr. Kwame Ofosu-Bamfo Director of Bamson Company Limited who has over the last two decades shown considerable commitment to the well being of people especially of his own roots.

Nana Yaw Frimpong, Nkawkawhene heads the seven-member Board of Trustees which is to establish a self sustaining scholarship scheme to facilitate the general improvement of education for the recipients. Other members of the Trust have Mr. W. Abra-Appiah, a banker, Vice Chairman, Mr. Samuel Narle, member/secretary, Mr. A.B. Amoatey, a District Director of Education, Kwahu South, Mr. George Debrah, Bamson Company Limited, Dr. Joseph Larbi Opare, District Medical Director and Mr. Magnus Rex Danquah, PR and Marketing Consultant as members.

The Board will be formally inaugurated at the Alisa Hotel, East Cantonments in Accra next Wednesday. Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng II, Omanhene of Kwahu Traditional Area will chair the function with Prof. Ameyaw-Ekumfi Minister of Education as Guest of Honour.
