Nana Ofori Owusu has asked the government to set up a proper office for persons responsible for watching over State vehicles and logistics in the country.

Nana Ofori Owusu expressed worry over the missing State vehicles from the Flagstaff House, saying "it affects our economy. It affects our leadership. We ought to show confidence in our economy, in our structures. If things are not going on well, there are State authorities. We should ensure that State authorities do such work for peace to reign because we want to raise the image of Ghana".

To him, such culture hinders economic progress and in order for it to stop the government should ensure that the supervisors of the State vehicles are incentivized because protection of State vehicles is vital to the running of the economy.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Nana Ofori Owusu, a member of the PPP Communication team, condemned the treatment meted out to such persons and also expressed worry over the culture where State vehicles keep missing after a successive government is installed.

He stated firmly that it's about time the government looked at measures to equip the persons in charge of State vehicles because the deplorable nature of their offices affects the economy.

He said that they deserve to be in a well-furnished office and their employment shouldn't be subject to appointments by the government.

"I’m for the raising of the office of the persons who are in charge of State vehicles and also in policy to protect those persons; that it’s not government that should appoint that person into place. The person should have a certain protectionist clause for him or her to be independent in carrying out his or her duties,” he said.
