England-based Jeffrey Schlupp says he is elated to play his first game for Ghana before the Kumasi crowd on Tuesday.

The Leicester City star emerged the Man-of-the-Match after coming on for Solomon Asante in a forced substitution in the 2-0 win over Comoros in the 2018 World Cup qualifier.

This was the first time the German-born Ghanaian was playing before the passionate fans of Kumasi at the Baba Yara Stadium.

And the left-back who played as a winger against Comoros on Tuesday played arguably his best game in a Black Stars shirt.

The 22-year-old expressed his delight at playing before the Kumasi crowd where his mother hails.

Ghana progressed to the final phase of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers with a 2-0 win over Comoros of which Jeffrey Schlupp played an integral role.

He has since left the country to rejoin his club Leicester City for their Premier League fixture away to Newcastle United on Saturday.
