Rubin Kazan banned over Wakaso's money

Russian giants Rubin Kazan have been banned from signing new players over the unpaid money owed their Ghanaian international midfielder Mubarak Wakaso, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The top-flight club must pay all the monies owed the Ghanaian with interest before they are allowed to register any players in future.

The Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Russian Football Union (RFU) imposed after Wakaso filed the complaint over some unpaid wages and compensation when he transferred to the club about some three years ago.

It is uncertain how much the Ghanaian is angling for but insiders say it will into hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Wakaso, who is currently on loan to Spanish side Las Palmas following his stand-off with the Russian side after his move to join the club in 2013.

The Dispute Resolution Chamber ordered the club to pay the debt to the footballer with interest for delay in payment, and imposed a ban on the registration of new players was also imposed as an interim measure.

However, the ban can be lifted at the request of the club in the event of performance of the obligations to Wakaso.
