Reproductive Health Crisis

Studies have shown that by age 20 year over 80% of all the young people in Ghana have had their first sexual experience.

The studies revealed that though many reproductive health problems facing adolescents in Ghana, reproductive health programmes in the country tend to be focused more on the matured population. The country co-ordinator of the African Youth Alliance (AYA) Dr Robert Mensah made these known at the inauguration of a media Advocacy Network of (AYA) in Accra on Monday.

The Network which has a membership of over 20 media personnel selected from almost all the media houses in Accra has among its objectives to help AYA plays its advocacy role of educating and sensitizing the Ghanaian youth on reproductive health issues more effectively.
