Redwood Universal has partnered with the award-winning Oxford Royale Academy to launch ‘Redwood Campus’, a bespoke summer camp for African children residential in colleges of the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.

‘Redwood Campus’ is a tailor-made programme for African students, with a blend of practical and theoretical STEM experience, analytical skills, life skills, career coaching and employer engagement, emerging STEM careers and advice on choosing A-Level subjects and selecting university courses.

Oxford Royale Academy is a market-leading provider of premium study abroad experiences.

Each year, they welcome students from more than 135 countries to summer programmes with the aim of inspiring them to succeed in their future studies and careers.

“We are delighted to partner with Redwood Universal for this exciting venture, which has been purpose-built to provide students from across Africa with access to an unrivalled STEM study experience. Participants will be immersed in a range of theory and topics from the worlds of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and will gain a unique insight into future study and career pathways. Whilst doing so, they will be living, studying and learning in the environment of the best universities in the world. We see this as a tremendous opportunity for the students not only to learn, but also for them to represent themselves, their country and their continent to our international student community”, says Daniel Roberts, Business Development Manager at Oxford Royale Academy.

Co-Founder of Redwood Universal, Kweipe Bruce-Annan, says: “STEM offers children the most rewarding careers. However, they cannot achieve their full potential or compete in an increasingly global market without a blend of skills and engagement with emerging themes. We have worked with Oxford Royale Academy to create an academic programme that addresses the needs of African children, on the campuses of two of the world’s leading universities. This is a proud moment for Redwood Universal.”

The summer camp runs from 14 July – 3 August 2019 and is open to children aged 15-17 across Africa. This complements the Redwood Campus at Kingham Hill School for 11-14-year-olds.
