The man who appears rather "hard", "stern" and "firm" in public especially when making a stance on an issue, showed a different side of himself at his birthday anniversary event, Thursday.

Former President Jerry John Rawlings who marked another milestone in his life; his 70th birthday on June 22, 2017, was seen making merry and exhibiting his humorous side at the event.

The celebrations saw the former President and his family "hanging" out with a few friends and personalities. The President after exchanging pleasantries for a while left his wife and daughters to the formalities and on his own, took the knife for cutting the cake and in a rather unconventional way, stuck it upright in the middle of the cake as if he was stabbing something.

His wife and daughters could not help but burst out in laughter, after which the entire family joined him in cutting the second cake as a family.

He was seen showcasing 'funny' dance moves right after the cake cutting and surrounded by his wife and daughters, the former President appeared quite different from the 'usual' Jerry John Rawlings most people might be used to. His birthday obviously brought out a different side of him.

The event saw the presence of some dignitaries including the First lady and other personalities.

That was not all for the President as Plawright Uncle Ebo organized a huge birthday surprise for the Former President at the National Theatre in Accra later in the day.
