Rawlings leaves for official visit to US

ACCRA, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Ghanaian President Jerry Rawlings left Accra on Tuesday for a five-day official visit to the United States accompanied by Foreign Minister Victor Gbeho.

A Foreign Ministry official said Rawlings would see President Bill Clinton during his visit to discuss, among other things, conflicts in Africa, the global economy, U.S. investment in Africa and aid for Ghana.

Clinton visited Ghana during his African tour in March and April 1998.
