Rawlings Is A Misfortune -Odoi-Sykes

The former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Samuel Odoi-Sykes and now Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada, has denied ever saying on any political platform during the 2000 electioneering campaign that he was aware that some big men in the previous regime were behind the infamous killings that rocked the country and sent the chills down the spine of most Ghanaians.

Mr. Odoi-Sykes told the NETWORK HERALD, after the People’s Assembly, that what he did, was to promise that if his party was voted into office, they would invite international investigative bodies like the FBI, the KGB, MI, and the MI5 to assist their Ghanaian counterparts bring the heinous crime to an end.

He contended, therefore, that it was ridiculous for former President Rawlings or anyone to say 15 people in the NPP government were behind the cold blood killings.

He explained further that, his party had taken that position because stalwarts like the Minister for National Security, Kofi Totobi-Quakyi and IGP, Peter Nanfuri had constantly submitted that they had no clue and therefore couldn’t investigate to arrest the murderers.
