RE: Dr. Kennedy wanted in the United States of America

This is a statement from the Attorney of Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy regarding the use of his license to practice in the US as reported by the Herald and carried by other media outlets.

From Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy’s attorney, Bill Connor: “We were all saddened by the actions of Ernest Addo, who fraudulently obtained Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy’s personal information, including his medical license, to use for improper purposes.

We were also disappointed to see some media outlets attempt to portray the victim of this crime, Dr. Kennedy, as somehow responsible. The headline of the Ghanaweb.com News “Dr. Kennedy wanted in the United States of America” was particularly misleading to the citizens of Ghana.

Dr. Kennedy was the first person to contact law enforcement about the actions of Ernest Addo, and the first to request law enforcement investigate the suspected fraud. He is working with law enforcement to ensure justice is served in this case. Dr. Kennedy is now attempting to fix the multiple problems the identity theft has created for his family. I think all readers understand implications of identity theft to the victim and his family.

We would request the Ghana News, and all other news agencies, properly report the full truth of this story.”
