President Kuffour Invited To Congo

President John Agyekum Kuffour has assured the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that Ghana will not hesitate to participate in efforts towards the realisation of Peace in the DRC.

He gave the assurance today when he received an invitation from President Joseph Kabilah of the DRC, to visit the country. The invitation was extended to President Kufour at his residence in Accra on Saturday by the DRC’s Minister for Presidential Affairs and Secretary to the President – Mr Augustine Katumbe.

In line with Ghana’s commitment towards the promotion of unity and peace on the continent, President Kufour said the invitation to visit the DRC, will be given maximum attention. Mr Augustine Katumbe said President Kufour’s expected visit to the DRC, is aimed at receiving the cordial relation which formerly existed between the two countries.
