The emergency power plants from Turkey is expected in the country next month.

The power badges, which are being constructed by manufacturer, Karpower, was promised earlier this year by the Ministry of Power to help solve the energy crises (Dumsor).

However, Edward Ennin, a member of the Energy and Mines Committee of Parliament believes that the badges will not arrive in the country in August as expected.

Speaking to Atinka News on Tuesday, Mr Ennin, who is the MP for Obuasi -East, said the power badge promise was meant to only calm nerves and nothing else.

“Even if the power badges arrive in August, they may not guarantee power stability in the country because engineers will need time to test and install the machines for uninterrupted power,” he added.

Going by the MP's submissions, Ghanaians will likely enjoy uninterrupted power in December or early next year if the badges arrive in August.
