Porn Scandal Hits NADMO Boss

The Kpando District Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Christian Attor, has been accused by a female staff, Charlotte Kumi, of watching pornographic movies in his office and attempting to unleash his libido on her on several occasions, probably after getting aroused by the ‘sexy films.’

The lady alleged that her inability to satisfy the sexual demands of her boss had led to her being transferred from Kpando in the Volta Region to the Northern Region, stressing that she was not part of a mass transfer to Kumasi that affected most of her colleagues. She said having left her out of the mass transfer, she could not come to terms with why she alone should be transferred to the Northern Region on a salary that was less than GH¢ 150 as a single parent of two.

She therefore called on the Minister for Women and Children’s Affairs and other well-meaning Ghanaians to help her fight her case. According to her, she had a cordial relationship with her boss, Christian Attor, who was appointed after NDC came to power, until he invited her to his office one day and asked her if she knew what ‘missionary’ and ‘scissors’ sex positions were. She narrated that even though she was shocked, she answered the first question in the negative, and the second in the affirmative.

She alleged that her boss asked her these questions at a time he was watching pornographic movies on his laptop in the office. Ms. Kumi wrote in a complaint to the National coordinator of NADMO, Kofi Portuphy, that on another occasion, her boss invited her to his office and asked her to massage his knees and thighs because he was feeling pains in them; but as soon as she held his knee, he quickly tried to insert his finger into her vagina and she stopped and walked out of the office.

On another day, she alleged, she and her boss, with the District NADMO administrator, went out on an assignment, but the administrator got out of the vehicle later saying he had things to do in town. Charlotte Kumi stated that she and her boss continued the journey to Kpando where her boss requested that she took him to her house so that he could visit her when she fell sick.

According to her, Christian Attor rushed in to her bedroom when they got to the house but she declined to join him. Obviously on heat, he struggled to have sex with her in the hallway and she was only saved by a phone call to her cell phone, she narrated.

She said since then, she had known no peace with the District NADMO Coordinator, so she reported the incident to the Deputy Volta Regional Minister who referred her to the Kpando District Chief Executive (DCE).

The DCE, after meeting with her and her boss, pleaded with her to ‘bury’ the case at the assembly level. Nonetheless, Ms Kumi noted, she surprisingly received the transfer letter which was signed by the Deputy NADMO Coordinator in Accra. The District NADMO boss however denied the allegations leveled against him by his female subordinate, claiming the lady rather proposed to him.

In his counterclaim, he named a 62-year-old retired staff of NADMO as the ‘betweener’ of the love proposal from her.Mr. Attor also denied ever asking Ms Kumi about ‘missionary’ and ‘scissors’ sexual positions. He however added that if ever he did, he posed that question to the general staff as a result of his cordial relationship with them.

Mr. Attor’s denials were contained in an investigative report in response to the allegations and written by three staff members of NADMO national head office who were sent to the district office by Mr. Portuphy to investigate the issue, after Ms Kumi’s formal complaint.

The report, a copy of which is available to Daily Guide, vindicated Mr. Attor, who noted that he never watched pornographic movies in his office. He however admitted having a knee pain but said that it was Ms Kumi who offered to massage it for him one morning, which she did in the presence of one Miss Tsigbe, also a staff member who corroborated her boss’s claims.

Mr. Attor also denied ever entering Ms Kumi’s bedroom, noting that the first time he ever entered her house was when she was sick, claiming he however did that in the company of Mr. Dzegble, an administrator at the office, who also concurred.

The investigative team said they were presented with enough evidence to show Ms Kumi had a penchant for persistent absenteeism, lateness and poor working relations with others.
