"Playboy" Pastor Before CHRAJ

About 200 members of Christ for All Mission Church on Wednesday besieged the offices of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to hear the outcome of their petition on the conduct of the Reverend Dr Michael Yaw Danso, Founder of the church.

They had accused Rev Danso of coveting the church's property and seducing some female members and petitioned CHRAJ to investigate these activities.

CHRAJ was to begin the hearing the case on Wednesday but it adjourned it to August 15 to enable the Founder to respond to the petition.

In their petition, the Founder had also been accused of coveting all properties of the church including 15 vehicles some of which were commercial.

He had also taken possession of a mission house, named High Grounds Cathedral at Kasoa.

The petition further accused the Founder of altering some doctrines of the church to advance his personal cause, and said instead of observing the Sabbath on Saturdays, it had been changed to Sunday.

According to the petition, members who criticised him for his behaviour were threatened and ex-communicated from the church.

It also accused the Founder of using members of the church as unpaid labourers on the church's farm.

The members told the GNA that the action of Rev Danso had created division in the church and complained that they had been cheated for a long time and were seeking justice.

Rev Danso had to be escorted by some members of the church to one of the offices of CHRAJ as some of the members threatened to beat him up.

Mr Osei Kwaku, counsel for the members and pastors, asked them to exercise restraint for CHRAJ to look into the matter.
