Nunoo Mensah’s outbursts thoughtless – TUC

The Ghana Trades Union Congress (TUC) has described as “thoughtless”, National Security Advisor, Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah’s outbursts against organised labour.

Nunoo Mensah vented his spleen at organised labour a few days ago by describing them as “unpatriotic” and “undisciplined”.

According to him, if organised labour found the country “too hot”, they should fly out to other countries.

“... It was not well thought of, it was quite irritating;… it sounded very distasteful and we hoped that somebody of his calibre would not come out with such statement,” TUC Secretary General Kofi Asamoah, told XYZ Reporter, Kwame Danso Acheampong.

Mr Asamoah said even though the TUC is not demanding an apology from Nunoo Mensah, organised labour will welcome it if the advisor offers one.

The retired Brigadier has, however, told the BBC that he owes no one an apology despite the deluge of flak hurled at him.
