No worries over Tema Youth protest - Dreams FC

Chief Executive Officer of Dreams FC, Kurt Okraku Chief Executive Officer of Dreams FC, Kurt Okraku

Chief Executive Officer of Dreams FC, Kurt Okraku, has said he is not worried by reports that his side could lose their Premier League status should the Court of Arbitration for Sport rule in favour of Tema Youth.

Tema youth protested against Dreams FC for fielding an unqualified player, but the FA Executive Committee member was resolute nothing will change at the club, regardless of whatever decision is taken at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Kurt told Class Sports: “Nothing will change should the decision go against us. But I assure you, we will play in the Premier League.”

He explained: “We were not in the premier league when we developed the likes of Baba Rahman, Benjamin Tetteh and John Antwi, so, we will be fine if the decision goes against us, but I assure you, we will play in the Premier League”.

On the other hand, CEO of Tema Youth, Osei Palmer, has said Dreams FC should suffer the wrath of the football laws and not the player in question: Cudjoe Mensah/Daniel Gozar.

Tema Youth brought a case against Dreams FC for fielding Cudjoe Mensah, who is alleged to have registered for two clubs in two different league divisions of the Ghana Football Association under different names (Daniel Gozar and Cudjoe Mensah, respectively) using different dates of birth in the 2013-2014 football season, contrary to Article 26(3)(b) and 35(12) of the GFA General Regulations.
