No fresh trouble for Sam George - NDC Activist

NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George

Youth leader for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Kobby Mensah has debunked the publication which says his Parliamentary Candidate, Sam George is in fresh trouble in Ningo-Prampram.

According to him, the publication by the Daily Guide that majority of the NDC members in Ningo-Prampram have decided to vote ‘skirt and blouse’ in the upcoming 2016 general election is not true as all members of the party are solidly behind him to succeed Hon. E.T Mensah.

From the Daily Guide Monday edition, it has been reported that over 200 supporters of the NDC in the constituency have declared to vote ‘skirt and blouse’ by voting for President John Dramani Mahama and Sylvester Tetteh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the area.

According to them, the party stands to suffer a big blow in Ningo-Prampram if they continue to offer their support to Sam George, who doubles as a presidential staffer.

The supposed over 200 defectors who are from Afienya, Dawhenya, Abbey-Kope, Mobole, Community 25 and Mataheko in the Ningo-Prampram constituency, have promised to work hard for the president to regain his popularity.

They were of the view that the manner in which Sam George is misusing the name of the president to deceive people in the area was appalling and affecting the party.

Leader of the defectors, Marmah Mantey Francis, who was also a campaign coordinator for Sam George, pointed out to DAILY GUIDE that “Sam George is not helping the party’s image in the area since he won the primary. He continues to provoke each and everyone, including members of the NDC, with his bad manners and lies.”

He noted that Sam George does not respect the elderly, including chiefs who are leaders he wants to represent and wondered whether he will be a humble person when he wins power.

But Kobby Mensah on Okay Fm’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning show challenged that the leader of the defectors, Marmah Mantey Francis is not a member of the NDC; adding that there is no such move to vote ‘skirt and blouse’ in the 2016 elections.

He stressed that Sam George has the support of Hon. E.T Mensah as he is ready hand over his boot to Sam George to bring jobs to the youth in Ningo-Prampram; thus, it will be a miracle for the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Sylvester Tetteh to win the seat from the NDC.

“This story is not true but a fabricated and concocted one by the Daily Guide reporter who has been paid by Sylvester Tetteh to write. Nobody is going to vote 'skirt and blouse' because there is no more trouble in Ningo-Prampram; he is very humble and has the backing of Hon. E.T Mensah as all issues have been resolved,” he averred.
