The president of the Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed his outfit will only be interested in voting for a new FIFA president who has plans to develop African football.

FIFA presidential candidates will arrive in Ghana next week to campaign ahead of next month’s election at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

“Let me speak for myself and Ghana FA and not for Africa. We want a FIFA president who will have interest in Africa and respect Africa. Mr. Blatter started the Goal Project and Financial Assistance Program. We don’t want a president who will come and stop them,” Nyantakyi told reporters.

The candidates expected in Accra are Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Prince Ali Al Hussein, Jerome Champagne, Gianni Infantino and South Africa’s Tokyo Sexwale.
