NPP To Drop John Boadu

Contrary to reports that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed utmost faith and trust in its Deputy Communications Director, Mr. John Boadu, irrespective of the damaging allegations leveled against him, intelligence picked up by The Informer reveals otherwise.

According to this paper’s NPP-insider sources, John Boadu will soon be relieved of his post, and as well cease to speak on behalf of the flagbearer, Mr. Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo , since his loyalty to the party is largely in doubt.

Already, credible information has it that, the party’s General Secretary , Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, aka Sir John, has unreservedly endorsed the move to have John Boadu removed, since he has never trusted him (John Boadu); and that, the recent revelation about him is enough evidence to get rid of him since he cannot be trusted.

According to our impeccable sources, ever since Kwabena Bobbie Ansah dropped the bombshell on Monday 14th May, 2012, during his interview with Radio Gold’s Alhaji Suhuhini, confirming John Boadu’s membership of the Agenda 2016 group in the party, principally made of the Ashanti caucus who has sworn to prevent Akufo-Addo from becoming president of this country, the leadership of the NPP has met (venue withheld for now) and decided that John Boadu be removed, since he cannot serve two masters at the same time.

Even though, the decision, The Informer has learnt, did not go well with some party executives, it was agreed that in the collective interest of the party and how crucial the upcoming election is to the party, John Boadu be made to vacate his position since he could easily be compromised to work against the fortunes of the party, since Akufo-Addo is not his preferred choice.

However, intelligence information gathered has it that, the Akyem group have made a passionate appeal to the flagbearer to prevail upon the party leadership to removed John Boadu since it is evidence now that he is not on his side and not working in his interest.

“Gabby and his Akyem group, have never liked John Boadu following his strongest of ties with former President John Agyekum Kufuor and his unflinching support for Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, in all the NPP primaries that elected Akufo-Addo as the flagbearer, so the recent revelations by Kwabena Bobbie Ansah, has only activated their hatred for him, and they want him removed as the Deputy Communication Director at all cost”, the trusted source pointed out.

“In fact, our Akyem brothers are very livid and have indicated that they will use every possible means to ensure that John Boadu is removed and sacked from the party, having proven that he is someone who cannot be trusted”, he added. “John Boadu, long ago has been on the wanted list of the Akyem group and now that he has been exposed to be one of the persons planted to work against Nana Addo as part of the Agenda 2016, he will not be spared”, the source concludes .
