NPP Cautions Against Internal Conflicts

The Press Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Afari has cautioned against the pretty squabbles between the party’s officials and the government, since that could affect the fortunes of the party. Mr. Afari says it is wrong for party members to pressurise government officials for "quick fix solutions to their problems". The NPP Press Secretary was speaking to the District Chief Executives attending their southern sector review meeting at Ho.

He noted that bad blood between the two groups is the result of attempts by party members to seek recognition and patronage from government appointees.

Mr. Afari called on party members and the DCE’s to check corruption and particularly do away with “wrong tenders". He reminded the DCEs that they are required to meet with party executives to bridge the gap of mutual suspicion between the two.
