NGO donates wheel chair to crippled teacher

Nkawie (Ash), The Christoffel Blinden Mission International of Germany through the Ghana Material Resource Centre for the Disabled, has donated a tricycle wheel-chair estimated at 700,000 cedis to Mr Kwaku Addo, a 53-year-old crippled craft instructor of the Bontommuruso Presbyterian Primary School in the Atwima district.

The donation followed an appeal by Mr Addo through the media last month for the public to assist him to acquire a wheelchair to make him mobile.

Mr Ken Boateng, Atwima District Representative of the Ghana News Agency, who made the presentation on behalf of the donors at Nkawie, advised Mr Addo to take good care of the wheelchair.

Mr Addo expressed gratitude to the donors for coming to his aid. Present at the ceremony were Mr Alfred Tawiah, Headteacher of the school and the family of Mr Addo.
