NDC calls for mobilisation to register for 1996

Mr. Oscar Bimpong, Member of Paliament for Agona West, has urged communities in his constituency to rekindle their cummunal spirit to support the government's effort to develop the area.

Mr Bimpong was addressing a meeting of supporters the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Agona Swedru. He urged chiefs, assembly members and party officials to mobilise the people to undertake projects to improve life in the communities.

The MP further urged them to mobilise the people and education them on the the need to take the impending voters registration exercise seriously.

Mr Kingsley Koomson, the constituency chairman of the party, announced that the Abodom-Bodikuma electrification project was on course and that people in the area would be connected to the national grid before the end of the year.

Mr Koomson appealed to well-to-do citizens of the district to take advantage of the availability of power to establish cottage industries and provide employment for the youth.
