NDC asks Ghanaians to resist oppressor?s rule

The opposition NDC is asking Ghanaians to use the 49th Independence anniversary celebration to rededicate themselves to the struggle to resist any oppressor's rule.

General Secretary of the party, Johnson Assiedu Nketia said since the price to pay for freedom was perpetual vigilance, ?it is important to note that the same reactionary forces and their collaborators are still with us, albeit in different forms, and will continue to use more subtle but potent means of subverting our sovereignty and our right to self-determination for their selfish ends",

A statement signed by the general secretary on the occasion of the country's 49th independence anniversary celebration the NDC reminded Ghanaians about the great courage, foresight and sacrifices made by the heroes of the country's struggle for independence and called for a rededication to that struggle and resistance of oppressors' rule with all their will and might.
