Bankroller of Medeama SC Moses Amarh Parker is hopeful of making a statement in this season’s CAF Confederations Cup but has lamented on the lack of support from Government.

The Mauves will be Ghana’s sole representative in the African CAF Confederation Cup after they were pitted in Group A alongside MO Bejaia of Algeria, Young Africans from Tanzania and former Africa Champions League winners TP Mazembe.

However, the ex-management committee member of the Black Stars, Moses Parker is defiant of his outfit’s chances of making an impact in the competition this season but is pleading to Government to come to their aid as they aim to become the second club from Ghana to triumph in that competition after Accra Hearts of Oak.

Speaking on Happy FM, Moses Parker said,” We are prepared mentally and physically for the encounter against TP Mazembe. Our only challenge now is ticket for the trip, and we’ve written series of letters to the ministry for assistance, we’re yet to receive anything from them.”

“We’ve not received the CAF entitlement for our qualification into this round like we’d have used that to cater for this trip but despite everything, I know that once we manage to overcome this obstacle, my boys will deliver the goods and beat TP Mazembe.

Medeama SC will lock horns with TP Mazembe at the Stade TP Mazembe, in Lubumbashi on Sunday 19th June, in the first match of this season’s CAF Confederations Cup after eliminating Al Ittihad of Sudan, El Shendi from Sudan before completing their impressive run against South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
