Mills 100 days in office not impressive - NPP MP

Kumasi, April 16, GNA - Mr. Kofi Frimpong, Member of Parliament (MP), for Kwabre East, said that promises made by the President John Evans Atta Mills to be fulfilled in 100 days of his presidency were mere campaign gimmicks and to lure the electorates for votes.

He said the inability of President Mills to fulfil those promises within the 100 days of his administration had confirmed the propagandist tactics used by the NDC during the electioneering.

Mr. Frimpong in an interview with GNA in Kumasi on Thursday said the NPP was the only party that could liberate the nation from the shackles of poverty.

The MP observed that the 100 days of Mills' government has not reflected in the lives of the people with respect to what he termed as "prosperity for all" and said if Ghanaians do not put the government on its toes their aspirations would not be met. He urged Ghanaians to rely on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and asked beneficiaries to renew their expired cards.
