Family of Evelyn Boakye, the 25-year-old victim of an alleged assault at Marwako Fast Foods, Abelenkpe branch have denied reports that she attempted suicide in the raging controversy over the incident.

Uncle to the victim, Mr. Daniel Asiedu disclosed to mynewsgh.com that she is going through emotional torture and is receiving medical attention but denied she attempted suicide.

“I told you the last time that she has been unwell following the unfortunate incident. It was for that reason I said we were providing her some professional counseling just to stabilize her. I don’t know where this suicide news is coming from”, he said.

He said his niece must be taken through all the necessary medical examinations to ensure that she does not lose her sight that he described as very important.

“She also needs psychological counseling to ensure that she returns to her normal self because I can see she is traumatized over the incident. All we need now is medical attention to ensure that she does not suffer a long-term effect. Whatever the court comes up with, we will accept that because that is what the law prescribes”, he disclosed.
