President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Mr. Noble Appiah as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

The appointment of Mr. Appiah, who was the former Managing Director of the Metro Mass Transit Limited takes immediate effect, a statement from the Flagstaff House stated.

The current Chief Executive of DVLA, Mr. Rudolf Beckley is to be reassigned other duties at the Ministry of Transport.

Mr. Beckley was appointed in 2013 to replace Mr. J. Y. Amegashie who served for four years at the DVLA.
