Leasafric Ghana launches new ‘Switch Car Rental’ for customer convenience

Leasafric, a non-bank financial institution, has rolled out its new service, the ‘Switch Car Rental’ service to bring convenience to customers for in-country and cross boarder movement.

The new brand provides distinctive services starting with a short term car rental ranging from a day to a year, giving the customer absolute comfort, security, peace of mind at a most competitive rate.

Mr Kalu O. Kalu, the General Manger of Leasafric Ghana, said the short term lease and rental offer would liberate customers from making heavy investments on vehicle purchases as the company would take care of financial and operation bit of the transport and mobility needs of customers.

To ensure the safety and security of customers, he said: “Every Switch car comes to the customer fully equipped with state-of-the-art tracking system for real time tracking and monitoring regardless of the geographical location within Ghana and outside Ghana.”

“We have gone a step further to incorporate free Wi-Fi services into all our Switch rental hiring vehicles to ensure that customers stayed connected throughout their journey regardless of their location,” he said.

Mr Kalu noted that from the beginning, the company had been guided by a singular compelling purpose to make the lives of customers better through the provision of world class solutions.

“Our car rental services have grown to become the preferred car rental service among mobility partners to several organisations and individuals for both long term and short term,” he said.

He said, with growth came new opportunities to enrich customers’ experience while remaining relevant in the market.

He said as a business, success had been driven largely by service excellence, differentiated offering with modern vehicles and recognition of entire staff and the design of prompt response as the market deemed fit.

“Our new Switch car rental is a direct response to the evolving need of our customers who told us we want an enduring local brand, which provides tailored world class rental solutions to meet their needs,” Mr Kalu added.

He called on the government to make business environment more friendly to enable the company create more job for Ghana.

Leasafric currently employs 300 Ghanaians.

Launching the service, Mr Edward Ashong-Lartey, the Director of Investor Services at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, urged the management of the company to ensure that the drivers of their vehicles were well knowledgeable about Ghana since they were the first point of call for any foreigner.

He said the company had over the years been a compliant member of the GIPC, adding that there was the need for the company to approach the Centre and register the service as a separate entity to benefit from the available incentives.

Mr Ashong –Lartey said the product had come at the right time as the country’s tourism sector was in a continuous development stage with the aim of boosting the sector.

Leasafric was established in 1922 and provides the services of operating lease, switch care rental, fleet management, staff bussing, finance lease, outsourcing, tracking, sale and lease back.
