LPG tanker explodes

Tema, Sept. 23, GNA - A fuel tanker carrying several tonnes of LPG from the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) on Tuesday exploded and caught fire on the Accra-Tema motorway, injuring one person, according to the Tema Police.

The Tema Regional Police Commander, ACP Agnes Sikanartey told newsmen that the injured person who was on board the tanker was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was admitted. She said fire tenders were called to the scene to help control the fire.
