Ghanaian international goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey was instrumental for Portland Timbers when they won the Western Conference after securing a 2-2 draw with FC Dallas on Sunday night.

The 27-year-old was in tremendous form for his side throughout the entire minutes of the game as he pulled out some splendid saves to propel his team to lift the ultimate.

The Timbers after a 3-1 win in the first leg match thus progressed to the finals with a 5-3 aggregate scoreline.

Fanendo Adi gave the visitors the lead in the 54th minute before FC Dallas Ryan Hollingshead and Parez Ortega struck twice in the space of 5 minutes to put the home team ahead after 73 minutes.

A late strike by Rodney Wallace ensured Timbers progressed to the finals of Major League Soccer Cup for the second time.

Caleb Porter’s side will now face Columbus Crew who also defeated New York Red Bull to progress to the finals of the MLS Cup slated for December 6.
