Kotoko to own Osei for the next 2 years

Coach Michael Osei Coach Michael Osei

Asante Kotoko’s management is expected to offer assistant coach Michael Osei, a fresh contract following the expiration of his two-year deal with the club.

The former Ghana international is currently out of contract with the dethroned Premier League champions but has been assured he will be offered a fresh deal.

Osei arrived from New Edubiase in 2013 to be the assistant to Mas-Ud Dramani.

He took up the head coaching job on a temporal basis when Dramani was sacked but reverted to being number two, when David Duncan was appointed.

Asante Kotoko’s Operations Manager George Kennedy confirmed the board is yet to take decision on the proposal to hand Michael Osei a fresh contract. “It is before the board”.” He told Sportscrusader.com.

“The board was unable to meet the other day so it is still pending.” Michael Osei recently returned from Germany where he underwent some refresher courses to boost his credentials as a coach.
