Komenda Sugar Factory to be reopened

The Omanhene of the Komenda Traditional Area, Nana Kodwo Kru II on Tuesday said South African investors have decided to reopen the Komenda Sugar Factory and called on the Member of Parliament (MP) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem constituency, Dr Ato Quarshie to assist them.

He requested the MP to collaborate with the Central Region Development Commission (CEDERCOM) to ensure the successful implementation of the programme.

Nana Kru was speaking at a meeting organised by the Komenda Citizens Improvement Association, to deliberate on development projects in the town.

He promised to make land available for the relocation of the factory and for the expansion of the sugarcane plantation.
