Richard Kissie-Boateng believes the Congolese giants T.P Mazembe are favourites to win the CAF Champions League, after earning a 2-1 victory in Algiers.

Kissie Boateng was the only one amongst the five Ghanaians playing for T.P Mazembe to Start in their 2-1 win over USM Alger last week Saturday.

Although the Ghana defender is anticipating a very good fight from Alger, because they have no option than to deploy an attacking play from the blast of the referee’s whistle, he believes they won’t surrender their home invincibility to the Algerian giants.

“We say in a proverb that a dead cow doesn’t fear a knife, so USM Alger will come out strongly in the second league.

“However, since we joined T.P Mazembe in the past three years we have never lost any home game, so we wont let it happen in our time,” he told Happy FM.

The second leg of the CAF Champions League final between USM Alger and T.P Mazembe will be played on Sunday.

Ghana have the highest foreign nationals plying their trade in DR Congo for TP Mazembe, namely Daniel Nii Adjei, Yaw Frimpong, Richard Kissie Boateng, Solomon Asante and Gladson Awako
