Hearts goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu has hailed the philosophy of new coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi as ‘exciting’.

The Japanese-born trainer has promised to establish a long-term plan for success after being appointed the new man in charge.

However, reality has hit on the 46-year-old after his side lost 4-1 against WAFA in a recent friendly exercise.

But the club’s new goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu insists the American-trained coach has an exciting philosophy which will benefit the club in the long haul.

“I think we should be patient because he’s a good coach who has an exciting philosophy that we have tapped into,” he told Accra-based Starr FM

“The players discuss the philosophy even before training and so they understand exactly what he wants.

“We don’t want to repeat past mistakes and so I believe things will be fine this season.”

Yatsuhashi is already involved in a power struggle with celebrated and ‘untouchable’ team manager Sabahn Quaye after the two clashed at Monday’s recovery training.
