Kasoa Market Complex Ready In October - MP

Kasoa(C/R), Aug 14, -- The first phase of the 2.4 billion-cedi market complex for Kasoa in the Central Region is expected to be completed by the end of October, this year. Alhaji Baba Lamin Abu Sadat, Member of Parliament for Awutu/Senya, made this known on Wednesday when he led executives of the Kasoa Market Retailers Association(KMRA) to inspect the progress of work on the project involving the construction of more than 3,000 stores and stalls. The inspection preceded an extra-ordinary general meeting organized by leaders of the KMRA to urge members to honour their contributions towards the project. Nai Awushie Tetteh the Second, Chief of Awutu-Offakor and custodian of Kasoa lands, has released 75 acres of land free of charge to the Awutu- Effutu-Senya district assembly for the project. It is being financed jointly by government, the district assembly and members of the KMRA.
